| This is the Second Edition of Law Enforcement Links. It was written by Larry Wilson, a Corporal (Cpl) in the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. One of the main purposes of his book is to make it easy to find law enforcement related resources without having to spend a lot of time conducting random searching in the many internet search engines and to describe what can be found at each site. Anyone who has ever spent time searching for a site, waiting while it loads, only to find that it does not contain the item they were looking for, will appreciate this book. |

Cpl. Wilson visited each one of the fifteen hundred (1500) sites and spent hundreds of hours exploring every one. This book lists each site by name, provides a description of what can be found there, the URL address, E-mail address where one is provided, and the rating in stars from zero (0) to (3). Each is rated on a scale from (0) to (3) stars, on design, construction, and the amount of effort put into the home page. The rating does not apply to the subject, product or theme of the site.
The book has been carefully indexed to provide the easiest possible method of locating the site you are looking for. It is sorted by type of site (ie Police Department Home Pages), county, state/province. In addition, there is a quick reference "Index" at the back that lists every site alphabetically.
In addition to adding over 1000 new sites, the 1997 Edition of the book comes with a disk. The disk includes a bookmark file that has every one of the over 1500 sites bookmarked and catagorized just the way they appear in the book. This book includes easy to follow instructions on how to add/import the 'Bookmarks' directly into your 'Netscape' browser or convert them to 'Favorites' for your 'Internet Explorer.'
