Book Description:
A collection of cartoons, jokes, stories, true incidents in and out of court, reveals the brave, committed, self-sacrificing men and women they are
...endangered always but sometimes caught-up in hilarious, funny
situations.
About the Author:  Oliver Gaspirtz
His award winning cartoons frequently appear in many newspapers and magazines, including The National Times, The Brooklyn Baron, The Medical Post, American Police Beat, Police, Australian Police Journal, SUN and Funny Times.  He is probably the only member of the Police Writers Club who is not a police officer.
His cartoons can be found in over a dozen German and American books, including A TReasury of Cocktail Humor and A Treasury of Business Humor from Lincoln-Herndon Press.
The Reviews:
"Policing is a serious job, and at some point you've got to lighten up.  If you're serious all the time, you'll go crazy in this job.  Cops love humour."

-Darlene Hutchinson-Hunter,
editor of The Police Marksman

"The great salve for the soul, humor has always been used by cops as a counterweight to the high-stress demands and seriousness of the job, so a bit of artistic levity seems appropriate."

-Dennis Hall
editor of Police

"In the rigid and structured world of law enforcement, it's refreshing to see illustrations that capture the human side of police officers while making us smile.  Gaspirtz'z cartoons are always objects of joy and entertainment around the office."

-Cisco Mendoza,
art director of Texas Highway Patrol Magazine

"Gaspirtz's cartoons are very humorous and down to earth.  They reflect the real life of police officers and what they have to face every day, but in a funny, stress-relieving way."

-David J. Armitage
editor of The Police Shield

"California Highway Patrol Officers always take their duties seriously, but Gaspritz's cartoons allow them the room to take themselves a little lighter."

-Carol Perri,
editor of The California Higway Patrolman

"We have had many inquiries from our readers as to whether a collection of Gaspirtz's police cartoons is available in bookform.  The response to these cartoons has been positive and we will gladly continue to feature them in our newspaper."

-Cynthia Brown,
editor of American Police Beat
